Secrets of Bergen op Zoom Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt & Walking Tour
Secrets of Bergen op Zoom is a self-guided walking tour that starts on the Grote Markt, between the Sint-Gertrudiskerk and Het Stadhuis. From there the route moves towards Het Markiezenhof and the streets around it. Each stop holds a puzzle, and the answer comes with a short account of the place. Along the way it plays like a scavenger hunt through Bergen op Zoom, with something to find at every stop.Couples, families, groups of friends and colleagues all use it in the same way. Up to four people form one team on one phone, so a larger company splits into teams that walk the same route. Alone works too. With no guide and no fixed start time, you can begin before the terraces fill up or well after. How to playFour steps and the route through Bergen op Zoom opens.Book the Exploration GameCheck the email with your play linkOpen the link on your phoneStart playing whenever you likeThe game alternates riddles, questions and photo tasks that send you looking at gables, gates and statues. Past the Synagoge and the theatre De Maagd it explains what these buildings mean for the town and how the centre changed around them. The facts arrive in small pieces, tied to whatever is in front of you.More than one team turns the walk into a competition: points for solved tasks, a leaderboard for the final standings, and an obvious reason for companies to book it as an outing. Nothing runs on a clock, so a long break in between is no problem. It is a straightforward way to get to know Bergen op Zoom.
