Rhodes Self-Guided Detective Murder Mystery Game
In Rhodes the case opens at the Modern Greek Art Museum on the northern point of the town, a short walk from the water. The route follows the Mandraki Marina, passes Saint Nicholas Fortress at the harbour mouth and climbs into the walled town towards the Palace of the Grand Master. It is a self-guided murder mystery game, and the old streets of Rhodes are where the evidence turns up.Families with children, groups of friends, couples and colleagues all play this, and it works alone as well. A team is up to four people sharing one phone, so a larger group buys extra tickets and splits into several teams. The lanes inside the walls are cobbled and busy in high season, which means teams move slowly and read the next clue together rather than racing ahead. No guide walks with you and no starting time is set.How to playFour steps stand between you and the first clue in Rhodes.Book the City GameCheck the email with your play linkOpen the link on your phoneStart playing whenever you likeThe case is the murder of Balthasar. Coded messages, photo tasks and digital characters with shaky alibis come up as you walk, and every answer you get right removes a name from the list. Some of it waits on the Street of the Knights, some near the Medieval Clock Tower, and the rest along the way between them. Two or more teams playing at once turns the game into a race, which is why it also works as a teambuilding activity for a company outing. Stop for lunch or a swim, then pick the trail back up, and close the case in Rhodes at your own pace.
